RUNNINGWITHSOLEAC partners with Budget

November 13, 2023

Last year, lawyer and social activist, Tumi Sole, started the #RunningwithTumiSole hashtag to beat the Covid lockdown blues. The hashtag quickly grew into a movement, attracting runners from 57 countries. This month, the hashtag evolved from the streets of Twitter to the streets of Gauteng with the launch of RunningWithSoleAC, an official running club, registered with Central Gauteng Athletics.

#RunningWithTumiSole is community of runners who are united by the love of running. We uplift and inspire each other to reach our fitness goals. RunningWithSoleAC was launched with the same objective. The club has already attracted over 50 elite and novice runners from across Gauteng, and we look forward to competing in a number of marathons this year including the Two Oceans Marathon on 15 April and the Comrades Marathon on 5 June,” says Sole. Budget Insurance has been signed as the main sponsor of RunningWithSoleAC. “This partnership with help our fledgling Club go from strength to strength. It made sense for the official insurer of Good South Africans to support a running Club made up of Good South Africans,” says Sole.
